Prize Sum and Sponsors
The total prize sum is CHF 50'000 to be split between the Leader and the Pioneer award winners, with an additional prize element in kind and sponsored by SAM Group, Sustainable Performance Group and World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

Headquartered in Zurich, SAM Group was founded in 1995 as an independent asset management company specializing in sustainability investments. Today SAM is one of the world's leading institutions in this sector. Its clientele includes banks, insurance companies, pension funds, foundations and private clients. Together with Dow Jones Indexes and STOXX, SAM has launched a family of sustainability indexes to track the performance of companies that are industry leaders in terms of sustainability.

Sustainable Performance Group (SPG) is an investment company quoted on the Swiss stock exchange and managed by SAM. SPG invests selectively in companies with a sustainable business concept and an attractive valuation. The first-ever investment company for sustainable investments focuses on a portfolio of 20 to 30 companies. SPG concentrates on ten to fifteen strategic core holdings, which make up around 65% of the portfolio's value. The portfolio is rounded out with ten to fifteen satellite holdings, which account for some 35% of the total value. Up to 10% of the company's assets may be invested in young, innovative, unlisted companies (private equity). With a market capitalization of CHF 200 million, SPG is one of the leading sustainability investment vehicles in Europe.

The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) is a coalition of 170 international companies united by a shared commitment to sustainable development via the three pillars of economic growth, ecological balance and social progress. Members are drawn from more than 35 countries and 20 major industrial sectors. The WBCSD's activities reflect the belief that the pursuit of sustainable development is good for business and business is good for sustainable development.
